In the Town of Ingalls, the Plan Commission is responsible for making recommendations to the local governing body on land use, zoning, and community development issues. The Plan Commission typically reviews and makes recommendations on proposed land use changes, rezoning requests, and development proposals. It may also play a role in creating and updating local comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances. The members of the Plan Commission are appointed according to Indiana Code and serve a set term of four years. The Plan Commission holds public meetings on the first Monday of every month. The decisions of the Plan Commission are advisory and subject to approval or rejection by the Town Council.
